Mara West Ranch Club is located inside the Agriturismo Mara Ranch. The Mara West Ranch Club has the purpose to connect friends and enthusiasts of horseback riding world.
The equestrian center offers you various activities supported by our professional staff.
Equestrian Centre
The equestrian centre is the main activity of the Agriturismo. The structure is composed by the stable which has twenty boxes and eleven tie stall, different sides of horse arenas depending on the many
necessities of the riders (4000mtq, 1000mtq, 600mtq) a round pen for the horse training and also four paddocks situated in the farm area.
FOR ALL THE EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES IS NECESSARY TO WEAR TROUSERS AND CLOSERD TOE SHOES
Horseback riding school
Personalized training courses depending on necessity, ability and purpose of the riders. The teaching program is organized on specific levels: from basic lessons realized to connect the beginners to horse world to specific lessons for expert riders. Our qualified personnel always follow the riders. The lesson in arena lasts about an hour: no more than four or five riders of the same level per lesson.
The courses include theory lessons in a stable, too. The riders arrange, with the direction, days and hours of their lesson.
It’s possible to carry out lessons during the nighttime: summertime until 22:00 and in the rest of the year until 20:00.
Horse riding license or Qualification
The Mara Ranch West Club gives you the possibility to be examined and to get different levels of horse riding license.
Horse Accommodation/ boarding stable
The riding centre can host, even for a small period of time, horses coming from other ranches as well. The stable offers three typologies of accommodation for your horse: boxes, tie stalls and outdoor paddocks. The stable is situated in a wonderful position at the centre of the Agriturismo, between farm, club house and the training arenas. Next to the stable there is horse wash rack where the horse owners can wash and clean their horses. The horses can enjoy wide arenas to move around and eat some grass too. The boarding stable treatment includes the feed ration (hay and fodder) twice a day.
Box
The stable offers 20 boxes. The size is 3,5mt per side and every box has an independent drinking trough.
Tie stall
11 tie stall. The side of each one is 3,5mt per 1,70mt
Paddok
In the farm area there are four paddock equipped of independent drinking trough and manger.
Equestrian Trekking
The riding centre organizes horse-riding tours starting from half hour to all day enjoying the amazing landscape. The pleasant variety of the area and the mild climate allows to choose, in every season of the year a specific tour for all the needs and abilities.
The short horseback trails (half an hour and an hour) are organized every day and they are suitable, for the simplicity of the path, for beginner riders too. Instead, the long equestrian trekkings are planned few days before. The riders are always followed by equestrian guide and the group is normally uniform and it is composed by six horses at the most. The rider’s abilities are essential conditions for the long (6 to 8 hours) trekking (and for the horse gaits feasible in each type of tour).

The riders without qualifications must sign a declaration of responsibility before riding a horse.
